Henry Ashbacher is married to Jill Crocker, and they have four children, one guardian child, and 6 grandchildren, two of whom attend Girard Schools. He has coached both girls’ and boys’ youth athletics for many years and also served on the School Board at Arma for seven years. He has worked in construction since 1979 and has been working at Craw-Kan since 2004.

Roger Breneman was born and raised in Girard, is a 1962 GHS graduate, and holds a degree from what is now PSU. His wife, Cheryl, and two daughters are also GHS graduates. Also, Meghan and Erin are Kansas State University grads. Roger has retired from Breneman Auto Parts and has been the Trojan Booster Club Treasurer for over 30 years. Roger enjoys spending time with their four grandchildren.

Aaron is a 1990 Girard High School alumnus, a Girard native, and a graduate of Pittsburg State University. He is employed at Watco in Pittsburg. He and his wife, Melissa, have three children: Kenzie (2020 GHS graduate), Alex (2023 GHS graduate), and Maddie (currently in GHS).

Dave is a 1981 Girard High School alumnus and is completing his second term on the Board. He is a member of the Volunteer Fire Department and has been a Township Board trustee for over 14 years. Dave works for the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, and he and his wife Anna have three children.

Lori is a graduate of Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Upon graduating, she was employed at the Southeast Kansas Education Service Center – Greenbush. Currently, she is a co-owner of Farm Bureau Financial Services and is active in our community and school. She served as the campaign chair for the Strong Community, Strong Schools initiative. She and her husband, Wade, have three daughters, Shayla, Kamryn, and Avery, who attended Girard schools.

Kelly grew up in Girard and graduated from GHS in 1983. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education at Pittsburg State University and has been involved in education and healthy youth development throughout her career. She has recently retired from Greenbush – the Southeast Kansas Education Service Center.
